Weekly Update: 7/17-7/22

  1. Paperwork-If you have any missing paperwork, please turn those in ASAP.
  2. Payment #2-As a reminder, payment #2 was due last week. It is for $130. Payments can be made by check(Mars Band Boosters), or through Charms.
  3. Shoes-Shoe fittings for will occur on Monday August 7th during band camp. Students need to pay for their shoes prior to the shoe fitting or must arrive with the payment during the shoe fitting time. For instrumentalists, shoes are $46 and for colorguard, shoes are $44. Checks can be made out to Mars Band Boosters. Only new members and old members whos shoes are in bad shape need to get new shoes. 
  4. District Registration/Payment-Below is the information regarding district registration and payment. I received an email this morning that many people have not paid/registered at this time. I understand that information was just sent out regarding this earlier this week. However, please make sure this is complete no later than July 31st. 

Family ID/District Fee:

In accordance with district policy, students participating in MASD activities are required to pay a District Fee of $100. All students must register and pay this fee BEFORE the first day of camp on Monday, July 31. You will click on this link and follow the directions below:  https://www.familyid.com/organizations/mars-area-school-district-activities  Go to the bottom of the page and click  “Marching Band June 2020-June 2024”. Go the bottom of the next page and click “Create Account” or “Log In’’. Whether paying online or by check ALL students must register with Family IDYou may pay this fee online or by check to the high school office. If paying at the school – checks are payable to the Mars School District; DO NOT PLACE THIS PAYMENT TO THE PO BOX. If your student is on the free/reduced lunch program, you do not pay this fee; you must register with FamilyID 

  1. Picture Day-Picture Day will be on Friday August 11th prior to the start of band camp. We anticipate a photography start session of between 10-11am. On this email, I have included a spreadsheet with your student’s information on it. Please look through and verify that your child’s information is correct(name spelling, section, etc.). If anything is incorrect and I do not hear anything regarding it, I will assume it is correct and that is what will be printed. I will then add parent contact information(based off of what was filled out on the committment form) as seen in the additional columns and send to the photographer. You will then receive a form with a QR code on it(either prior to picture day or on picture day). Once photos have been prepared by the photographer, you will receive a text/email letting you know the online store is ready for you to browse/purchase your items. This makes things much simpler than in year’s past. You will be able to view your child’s photos before you order any item, and you will be able to pay on your own. There is no filling out forms and bringing money to picture day!
