Volunteers, BOA’s, car wash

Good morning, Band Families,

I hope that you or enjoying the summer and the weeks are quickly approaching for the start of the marching band season.  In the upcoming week please, we will be reaching out for volunteers needed for the season. Please take a moment to review the following information:

Volunteer Approval Procedure:

  • In the folders distributed in the spring you can find the volunteer application and necessary clearances required to serve as a chaperone or anything else directly working with the students.
  • If you have already served as a volunteer in previous years, you still need to complete the application, submit a copy of your driver’s license, and be board approved.

  • Turn in completed application to Admin Building – 545 Rt. 228, Mars PA 16046, or via email: [email protected] Specific questions may be directed to the Mars Area School District Human Resources Office at (724) 625-1518, ext. 1512 or [email protected]

Parents do NOT do to complete this process to work the concession stand or to push equipment

BOA:

We need 14 chaperones for the Bands of America trip scheduled for Saturday, September 23.  There will be a cost involved the will be determined in the upcoming weeks – that will cover the bus, food, and admission into the stadium; it will be a reduced cost than what the students will pay. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Car Wash:

  • The next car wash will be held this Saturday.  Thank you to the parents that have already volunteered to help!
  • We do have some available spots for students – sign up at: https://signup.com/go/qsUNJpw
  • We are discussing the possibility of adding an additional car wash in August.
