Good evening everyone. Please see the weekly information below. Moving forward, we will be in full ensemble rehearsals the final month of the season. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
- Tuesday-Full Ensemble rehearsal from 6pm-9pm @MHS
- Wednesday-Full Ensemble from 6pm-9pm @MHS. At the conclusion of rehearsal, the truck will need loaded.
- **Friday-**Football game away at Knoch. Students/chaperones should arrive no later than 5:15 for a 5:30 departure. Students must arrive in their uniform bottoms this week as the drive is only 20 minutes.
- **Saturday-**Competition at Yough. Rehearsal will occur from 10am-12:30pm. Location is currently TBD due to facility conflicts. Once I know where we will be rehearsing, I will send out a separate email. Truck unload will be at 9:30am. We will be departing from Mars at 2:30pm. Mars performs at 6:00pm. Our anticipated return to Mars is 9:30pm. The truck will need unloaded at the conclusion of Saturday.
- **Butler Band Festival-**Next week on 10/9/24 is the Butler County Band Festival. This is an evening where all the marching bands in Butler County get to enjoy an evening celebrating themselves! The event will begin at 7:00pm at Butler HS. For this evening, students will arrive at 4:45pm for a 5:00pm departure at MHS. This week, students will receive 4 complimentary tickets for family/friends to enter the event. If you would like additional tickets, they can be purchased for $5/ticket, which will benefit the Mars program. If you decide to purchase tickets at the event, they will cost more and will benefit the Butler Band program.
- **Homecoming Parade-**Next Friday, October 11th, the marching band will participate in the Mars Homecoming Parade. Students will need to arrive in uniform to the field behind the old Mars Bank in downtown Mars(now NexTier Bank) at 4:30pm. The field is on Marshall Way right next to Mars Animal Depot. A Google image map is attached. At the conclusion of the parade(roughly 5:20). Students should then make their way to the Middle School for football game preparations. If they are driving or are being picked up, they can be picked up right at the drop off location. However, we will have one bus for students to get a ride from the parade to the Middle School for those who do not have a ride.
