Good morning everyone! First, congratulations to the students on their first football game this weekend. Although the weather was very unsettling at times, the students put on a successful first halftime performance. The community had a very positive reaction to our show this year, and we received many compliments. Please see this weeks information below. - Tuesday-Full Ensemble Rehearsal from 6pm-9pm @MHS
- Wednesday-Full ensemble from 6pm-9pm @MHS. At the conclusion of this rehearsal, the truck will need loaded.
- **Friday-**Football game at Home against North Hills. Students are to report to the orchestra room in the middle school at 5:30pm. We will begin marching into the stadium at 6:35pm. At the conclusion of the game, the truck will need unloaded. This Friday, we are asking students to wear their blue and gold “Mars Band” t shirts under their uniform. This way, they can wear their show shirts after their performance on Saturday.
- Saturday-Show Day! It is finally our first show of the season. We will be attending the Kiski Band Festival. Rehearsal will be from 10am-12pm at MHS. Once rehearsal is finished, the truck will be loaded. Students will have lunch in the cafeteria during their off time, and will begin getting ready for the competition(fixing their hair, cleaning their equipment, etc.). A competition meal is TBD. For the competition, students will need their compression shirt to wear under their uniform(if they did not receive theirs yet, it will be in this week.) They should bring their show shirts to wear after the performance. We will be leaving for Kiski High School at 2:45pm. Mars performs at 5:40! Our anticipated return time to Mars is at 9:45.
