Hello everyone! I hope you all have had an opportunity to relax after a great two weeks of bandcamp! Thank you to the students, staff for an incredible two weeks, as well as the numerous parent volunteers who gave up their free time to help get us prepared for the upcoming season. As we are know done with band camp, we are officially into our evening rehearsal schedule. Please make sure to visit www.marsband.com for the most accurate weekly schedule. We do our best to keep a similar schedule each week, but due to other district conflicts, we have to adjust from time to time. Please see below our weekly updates.
- Monday-Colorguard Rehearsal from 6pm-9pm @MHS
- Tuesday-Winds/Percussion Rehearsal from 6pm-9pm @MHS
- Thursday-Full Rehearsal from 6pm-9pm @MHS
- Saturday-Full Rehearsal from 9am-2pm @MHS. At the conclusion of rehearsal, the truck will need loaded. All percussionists and any other student who is able to help assist with prop tear down/load will need to stay after. Truck load should end around 3-3:15. This load time will decrease as the students get more used to the loading process.
- Sunday-Meet the Planets(Friday Night Lineup). This event will begin at 6:pm. Students should arrive at 4:30 for truck unload/warmup at the MAC. This is a free event for any and allcommunity members. The band will perform their pre-game festivities, part of their 2023 show, and will participate in some fun activities with football, dance and cheer! - Picture Makeup Day-If your student was not able to make picture day, makeups will be this Tuesday, August 15th at 5pm in the MHS Auditorium Lobby. This will be the only opportunity for picture makeups. Please make sure to be in attendance with your full uniform and instrument at 5pm.
- Bands of America Payment-Bands of America payments are due by Thursday August 24th. The cost is $160/per student. This covers their transportation(coach bus), admission into the event, and food for lunch and dinner). The updated payment option is available on Charms.
