Weekly Update: 6/26-7/1

Hello everyone! Please see below for the weekly update. If you have any questions, please don’t heistate to reach out. Have a great week!

  1. Paperwork/Payments-If you have any paperwork or payments past due, please turn those in ASAP. This also includes the commitment form which is attachedĀ here.
  2. 4th of July-The 4th of July Parade will be occurring at 3pm in downtown Mars on July 4th. Arrival time will be between 2:20 and 2:30 at Marburger Field. Exact locations have not been confirmed at this point, however, I have reached out to the borough for confirmation. The parade will end at the Mars Post Office. Students will be released at the conclusion of the parade at the post office. Attire for the parade is patriotic red white and blue!
  3. Truck Load-For those who have instruments that they cannot take with them to the parade on the 4th, we will load that equipment at the conclusion of rehearsal on Wednesday June 28th. This should take no more than 10-15 minutes.
  4. Props-If you are interested in helping with prop building this year, or to help break down props from last year(which desperately needs done!), please reach out, as we need to have props designed and ready for band camp.
  5. Leadership Interviews-If you applied to be a student section leader(colorguard not included), you will have a short interview with staff either this week or next week prior to rehearsal. Beginning at 5:30pm, these interviews will be conducted. The interviews will take place over these two weeks, as some people may be out a certain week. Whichever day you cant attend early is fine. If you arrive earlier, we can complete it then as well. Our goal is to complete our interiews during the second week and have a decision at that point.
  6. Drum Corps Tickets-If you purchased a drum corps ticket and have not paid it, please do so at your earliest convenience. Checks can be made out to David Soose, cash(in an envelope with the students name and drum corps tickets), or Venmo is all accepted. Tickets were $29/person.
