Good morning band families! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Our first football game as well as Meet the Planets is now in the rearview mirror, and we are thrilled for our first home football game this Friday. Below you will find our weekly schedule and general announcements. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Have a great week!
- Monday-Colorguard only rehearsal 6pm-9pm @MHS
- Tuesday-Instrumental only rehearsal 6pm-9pm @MHS
- Wednesday-Full rehearsal 6pm-9pm @MHS. The truck will need loaded at the conclusion of this rehearsal in preparation for Friday’s football game.
- Friday-Our first home game of the season! Students need to report to the middle school band room(fishbowl) at 5:30pm. Students do not need to be in uniform when the arrive, but will need to put on their uniform shortly after. Students can arrive in their clothing that goes under their uniform(gym shorts, show shirt, long black socks). Students should also have their band backpack and inside of it their raincoat. All uniform pieces should arrive in their garment bag hung up. At the conclusion of the game, the truck will need reloaded and unloaded as there are no events the remainder of the weekend.
- Prop Parts Needed!-We are currently in need of prop parts to help build our props this year. A lot of what we are looking for is hardware and some wood. If you have any currently laying around, and would be willing to let the program use it to enhance the show, please reach out to me. We would need to receive any of these items by the end of Wednesday night’s rehearsal. Below are items we are looking for:
- 6 pieces of plywood
- 12-8 foot 2×4’s
- 24-flat faced hinges, either 2.5 inches or 3 inches
- 24-small door latches
- 24- 3 inch 3/8 bolts
- Volunteers-Please continue to sign up to volunteer to chaperone or work concessions. We can always use an extra hand!
