MIP Weekly Update–3/21-3/27

Good evening MIP families! Below you will find the weekly update. It is going to be an exciting two weeks! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

  1. Schedule
    1. Tuesday-6pm-9pm @Centennial. As in previous weeks, I will try and secure a gym at the HS. If that does not happen, the truck will need to be loaded at 5pm. If we are at the Centennial, we will have to load/unload at the conclusion of rehearsal.
    2. Thursday-6pm-9pm @Centennial. As in previous weeks, I will try and secure a gym at the HS. If that does not happen, the truck will need to be loaded at 5pm. This evening, students will be dropping off their luggage for the trip. They can bring it when they arrive to load the truck. Bags will be checked in the hallway outside of the band room. It will be stored in the band room, which will be locked in the evening. We will have chaperones/staff checking their bags as they arrive. At this point, any medications that need to be administered on this trip need to be turned in as well. Medications need to be in their original bottle, even for over the counter medications. Please put all bottles in a ziploc bag with the students name on it. Do not bring tylenol, Advil, or Tums. We will already have these in our chaperone bags. PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL MEDICATION FORMS ARE TURNED IN. IF THEY ARE NOT, WE CANNOT ADMINISTOR ANY MEDICATIONS TO YOUR CHILD.  At 8pm, we ask that all parents chaperoning the event arrive at rehearsal. We will begin our portion of rehearsal with you at approximately 8:15. At the conclusion of rehearsal, we will loading everything that will be needed that weekend onto the truck.
    3. Friday-Chaperones/Students should arrive at the HS band room no later than 11:30am. We will depart as soon as everything is loaded and will pick up the middle school students after. We need to be on the road by 12:00pm. Parents can park in any visitor spot in front of the high school during the weekend. You do not need a pass, but I was instructed that if you like, you can put a piece of paper on your dash that says “Band.”
    4. Saturday-Sunday: I have again attached the regional itinerary. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
  2. Family and Friends-We will be hosting our annual Family and Friends night on Thursday March 31st at Mars High School. Performances will begin at 7:45 pm. Please feel free to pass this information along to all who would want to watch two incredible programs!
