The next two weeks will be the busiest of the season. Please take a moment to review the schedule – the students are getting ready for two back to back competitions, including Championships.
It is extremely important that the students come to each game and competition with everything that they need. We are still having students forgetting black socks, correct shirts, etc. Practice this week will be held at the high school.
Tuesday, October 16
Full Band Rehearsal at the HS 5:30-8:30 PM
Wednesday, October 17
Full Band Rehearsal at the HS 5:30-8:30 PM
* Prop team will stay after practice to load the prop truck
Friday, October 19
Away football game – report time 4:30 PM
Saturday, October 20 – Deer Lakes Competition
Full Band Rehearsal 11:30-2:45 at the HS (equipment truck report at 11 AM)
Mars is scheduled to take the field in AAA PIMBA competition at 6:30 PM
The awards ceremony will begin at 8:45 PM
Competition Meal/Chaperones:
• Those bringing water and desserts; they may be dropped off in the cafeteria beginning at 11:15 AM
• Food servers/clean up – report to the cafeteria at 2:30 PM
• Chaperones report to the cafeteria at 3:50 for your lanyard and assignment for the evening
Phantom Trip
The $60 nonrefundable deposit is due on Tuesday, October 16 to the Band Box. Checks can be made payable to the Mars Area Marching Band Boosters.
Banquet RSVP
Please return banquet RSVPs and payment by Wednesday, October 26. Cost is $25 per person – the Boosters will pay for the senior band students.
Pie Fundraiser
Students received their order forms at practice on Wednesday; attached you will find the order form. All orders are due on October 29 to either the band box or can be emailed to [email protected]. If you email Vira she will send you a reply that she received your order.

Even though marching band is in full swing, planning is underway for the Indoor Drumline and Winterguard Season. To learn more about these events please plan to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, November 1 at 7 PM in the band room.
