Weekly Update: 4/3-4/8

Good evening everyone! First and foremost, congratulations to the students of Mars Indoor Percussion! What an excellent finish to an already fantastic year. Together, they were able to capture their first TRWEA Championship in 11 years! The staff and I are incredibly proud of the students and their accomplishments. As the season has officially now come to a close, please see the brief few announcements. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

  1. Next Thursday April 13th, I will be at the high school to begin breaking down equipment from the season to prepare for the fall.Any students that can make it that evening will be greatly appreciate. This should not last more than 2 hours beginning at 6pm. Some things that will need to take place that evening:
    1. Fold the percussion/guard floor and put them downstairs.
    2. Break down all marimbas/vibraphones to remove any excess hardware.
    3. Break down the auxillary rack hardware
    4. Place any extra equipment into the basement
    5. Begin cleaning out the percussion closet
  2. Also next Thursday April 13th will be uniform collection for indoor. If you cannot be there that evening to drop off your uniform, please have someone do it for you. Included in the dropoff should be the original hanger, garment bag, uniform top, and uniform bottom. This can be dropped off at the same as the equipment clean up.
  3. In the coming weeks, another email will be sent out regarding prop breakdown from the winter/fall season. We will be asking of any parents/students to come to the high school and break down props from the previous season. More information will be emailed out in the coming week or two.

Have a fantastic week, and enjoy being champions!
