MIP Weekly Update: 11/28-11/3

Good morning everyone! I hope that you have enjoyed your Thanksgiving! We are beyond thrilled to get our indoor season officially underway this week. Please see the information below, and reach out if you have any questions.

  1. Weekly Schedule-We are beginning our weekly rehearsals! We are Tuesday/Thursday this week from 6pm-9pm at MHS. Please look on the Google Calendar for rehearsals moving forward. We will have a Saturday rehearsal on 12/10, and the week following that Saturday, our rehearsal is Monday and Wednesday due to concerts at the high school. Please make sure to plan accordingly. 
  2. Commitment Form-Please fill out the Commitment Form here. This will solidify your student’s spot within the ensemble for the 2023 season. 
  3. Family ID/District Payment-Now that auditions are complete, students must be registered for FamilyID by following the link here. Students also must pay their $100 district fee ASAP in order to begin participating in the program. Please complete both of these as quickly as you can. As a reminder, if you are free and reduced lunch, you do not need to pay the $100 district fee, however, you must communicate with the district regarding this, and still must fill out the FamilyID form. 
  4. Additional Paperwork-Attached to this email are additional forms that need turned in to rehearsal this week. The first document is from the handbook that was gone over at the indoor meeting. It is regarding equipment usage, uniform policy, and the handbook policy. It also includes the MIP media consent form. The other form is a basic health form, similar to the marching band season. Even though you filled one out during the marching band season, we do require a new form in case any information has changed. 
  5. WGI Release Forms-Students were sent home with WGI Release forms prior to Thanksgiving. Several people have returned them already. If you have not returned them yet, please have those returned this week. 
  6. Booster/WGI Fees-We will begin collecting first fees for the season as well as for the WGI Regional. These fees will be due by 12/14, which is the last official rehearsal before the winter break. The first booster fee will be $150, and the first WGI fee is TBD. I will inform you of that cost in the coming week or so. If you need additional time making payments, especially during the holiday months, PLEASE don’t hesitate to reach out!
