Weekly Update: 10/24-10/29

Good evening marching band families! First and foremost, congratulations to the students on their much deserved AA Championship victory last night! They had a fantastic performance last night, and we are very proud of all their accomplishments! With that being said, we have another busy week ahead of us. Please reach out if you have any questions.

  1. Tuesday-Disney parade practice from 6-7:30 at the MAC. Truck unload at 5:30. Students not participating in the Disney trip are expected to report at 7:30 in preparation for the Friends and Family performance. Friends and Family will begin at 8:00pm. During Friends and Family, we will also recognize the seniors with their senior bios. Parents of seniors will not need to be on the field for this, as you will participate in that at Friday evenings football game. At the conclusion of the senior bios as well as all other presentations, the band will perform their award winning program, “A World Up In Flames” for our community. At the conclusion of this event, the truck will need loaded.
  2. Wednesday- Mars Indoor Percussion will host a parent meeting in the HS LGI at 6pm. This meeting will cover basic information for the upcoming indoor season. While this is occurring, the first indoor drumline workshop will occur in the band room from 6pm-9pm for all students interested. These workshops help prepare students to audition for Mars Indoor Percussion.
  3. Friday- Football game @Home. It is senior night! All seniors and those escorting them are invited to the chorus room at Mars Middle School at 5:00pm to celebrate the seniors and all of their accomplishments! The senior night walk in the MAC will begin roughly at 6:15. All other members of the marching band will report at their normal time of 5:30pm.

Have a great week!!
