Good evening band families! Please see below for the weekly updates, and reach out if you have any questions.
- Tuesday-Disney parade practice @MHS from 6pm-8pm. In order to participate in the Disney parade, students are required to attend these parade practices.
- Wednesday-Disney parade practice @MHS from 6pm-8pm. In order to participate in the Disney parade, students are required to attend these parade practices.
- Thursday-There are two events on Thursday. First, Mars Indoor Percussion is hosting their 2nd workshop @MHS from 6pm-9pm. Students are highly advised to attend all workshops to receive as much information as possible leading into auditions. Also on Thursday, the Winterguard will hosting a meeting for all interested in joining Winterguard at 7pm in the Centennial School gym. Following the meeting, the students are invited to participate in an open gym until 9pm.
- Friday-This past Friday, The Planets secured their spot in the WPIAL playoffs. This Friday’s game is at McKeesport. I have communication out to the athletic director, and am waiting to here back in regards to what we will be doing for playoff football. Please plan as though we will be attending the game on Friday night, however, when I do learn more information, I will let you know.
- Saturday-On Saturday November 5th, we will load equipment/uniforms for Disney. This will be occurring at 1pm in the Mars High School auditorium lobby. Students are to arrive with their FULL uniform packed in their garment bag. This includes uniform top, bottoms, capes, gauntlets, shako wraps, black shoes, and black socks. There are now also to bring their shakos, as Disney cannot confirm the use of Mickey Ears at this time. Students will also need to bring all parts of their instrument that they will need for the Disney parade. If you are not available during this time, it is your responsibility to have someone drop off your equipment/uniform at this time.
