Hello Marching Band Families! I hope that everyone is ready for one of the busiest weeks of our entire season! Please see the weekly updates below as well as some other important information.
- Monday-Full Ensemble rehearsal from 6pm-9pm @MHS
- Tuesday-Full Ensemble rehearsal from 6pm-9pm @MHS. The truck will then be loaded at the conclusion of rehearsal in preparation for the Butler County Band Festival
- Wednesday-Butler County Band Festival! This is our counties band festival where all marching bands in the county come to perform for one another as well as their community. Students should arrive at the MHS Auditorium parking lot at 4:30 for a 5:00pm departure. The event begins at 7pm at the Butler High School Stadium and is roughly done by 9pm. The truck will NOT need unloaded at the conclusion of this evening. Your child should have received 4 complimentary tickets for this event. If you need additional tickets, please come see me. I still have extra tickets that can be purchased for $5/ticket. You can also purchase tickets at the gate for $6.
- Friday– Football game @Highlands. Students should report to the Mars HS Auditorium parking lot at 4:30pm for a 5:00pm departure.
- Saturday-PIMBA Competition @Moon!!! Rehearsal is from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Auxiliary turf field. At the conclusion of rehearsal, equipment will be packed onto the truck and then students will be guided to the middle school for their meal and to get changed. This week’s show meal is being provided by several families: the Suppos, the McSwains, the Drutaroskys, and the Ostapchenkos. Thank you all so much for your generous donation to feed all of these hungry teenagers! Busses depart from Mars Middle School at 4:00pm. Mars performs at 7:15pm!! Students should arrive home to Mars between 10:00pm-10:30pm. The truck will need unloaded at the conclusion of this event.
- Disney Meeting-Please be on the lookout for an email within the next week or so regarding a Disney meeting as well as parade schedules.
- Indoor Percussion-Please be on the lookout for an email in early October regarding Mars Indoor Percussion parent meetings and workshops for any student wanting to participate.
