Happy Monday Marching Band Families! I hope everyone is ready for week two of band camp. Below is weekly information regarding our second week as well as some other information. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Have a great week!
- Monday Band Camp-As a reminder, Monday(August 8th) band camp will only be from 1pm-4pm. Students will need picked up at 4pm, and there will be no camp in the evening.
- Wednesday-This Wednesday’s rehearsal will be occurring at the Mars Athletic Complex(weather permitting). If the weather does not look like it will cooperate, additional communication will be provided as to a rehearsal location change. However, in planning with a MAC rehearsal on Wednesday, the band truck will need to be loaded on Tuesday evening at the conclusion of rehearsal. Please allow an extra 30-40 minutes for students to load the truck. This will be mainly for percussion students or students assisting in loading the truck. At the conclusion of Wednesday’s rehearsal at the MAC, students will also need to reload the truck to take back over to the high school for Thursday’s band camp.
- Calendar-As we are quickly beginning to wrap up summer rehearsals/band camp, please make sure to take a look at the weekly schedule moving forward. This schedule can be found at www.marsband.com. We try to keep our weekly schedule as similiar as possible, however, there are certain weeks that have different rehearsal days due to other events occurring within the district.
- Meet the Planets-Meet the Planets is now less than two weeks away! We are excited to be able to finally perform in front of our Mars Community and kick off the fall season! Students will be performing pregame, a portion of their halftime performance, as well as some stand tunes! Please see the attached flyer for more information.
